So yesterday at work I was having a hard day trying to adjust to all my new responsibilities and my boss was out sick. I was pretty much on my own and didn't have any clue what I was doing. Therefore, I was getting really frustrated and not really having a good day.
I called my hubby a couple of hours after I had been there telling him that my day wasn't going very well. At lunchtime the receptionist came to get me to tell me that a man was waiting in the waiting room for me. I told her that I am not expecting anyone today but I went up to the front anyway. I asked her if he gave his name and she kept telling me that it was just a man. I thought this is weird. So I went to the front and it was my hubby and Tristen. He gave me roses and told me he was going to take me to lunch. You should have seen my face, my eyes were big and my mouth was opened wide. I was so surprised because I was not expecting him at all. But it really was a mood lifter for me and it made the rest of my day so much better. He even baked cookies for my coworkers and I and they were my favorite oatmeal raisin.
This act of affection made me feel so very special and so loved. It is such an amazing feeling to feel loved by the same person that you yourself love so very much. I am thankful that I have a hubby who stops his day to make me feel special and doesn't wait until our anniversary or Valentine's day to do something special for me. It means so much more when you are not expecting anything at all. I am truly blessed.
