Soccer Season for Tristen

Last night was Tristen's award ceremony for his soccer team. He had such a great time and learned so much. I absolutely love the sports program at Crossroads which is called Upward. Tristen not only learned about how to play soccer but he also learned biblical principles throughout the season. During each game, they did not keep score with his age group and the referees would frequently stop the game to explain why they were making a call. They would also pray before the games and during halftime they would have a small devotional for the parents. It was a great experience. We also had great coaches which were Coach Hilda and Coach Brigid. They were amazing and had tons of patience with the kids. Tristen grew so much through the season. The first practice he was not paying attention and running the opposite way from the goal and everyone else for that matter. LOL... But by the end of the season, he was running with everyone, trying to block the ball and goal and he actually kicked the ball during one of the games. This is a huge accomplishment. He really enjoyed it and I am sad that it is already over. Tristen, I am so proud of you and all that you have accomplished this soccer season. You are an amazing boy and I am having fun watching you grow up. I just wish you would stay little for a bit longer. I look at these soccer pictures and compare them from the first of the season and it makes me sad at how fast you are growing. You are already 4 1/2!! You keep telling me that when you grow up that you still will love me. The other night you told me that also when you grow up you want to marry me. I explained to you that I am already married to daddy but that God has a special person picked out for you when that time comes. You got all upset and started crying telling me that you want to marry me only. You always tell me that I am your princess and you will take care of me. This makes me feel so special. I love you so much and I will always love you no matter what. I am proud of who you are becoming. I love you boogie! Love, Mommy
